“Do Tell” was a documentary I directed, co-produced, shared cinematography duties on, and edited. “Do Tell” was filmed on location in an American military base in Northern Japan during the repeal of the Don’t Ask Don’t Tell policy in 2011. It chronicles the lives of gay and lesbian American military members both before and after the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell.
“Do Tell” has been celebrated at numerous film festivals winning Best Documentary at the Cinemaslam competition at the Miami International Film Festival, Best of the Fest and Best Documentary at the University of Miami Canes Film Festival, and an Award of Merit at the Best Shorts Film Competition. It has also been an official selection at the GI Film Festival, Miami Short Film Festival, Bronx International Film Festival, and Let’s All Be Free Film Festival.
